This notice explains what happens to your information when you use this website: the Exit Readiness Scorecard, the AI Pressure Test, the voice assistant, the enquiry and booking forms, and email. We've tried to be exact rather than reassuring. If anything here is unclear, ask us.
Architect Your Exit is a trading name of Positive Returns Limited, company number 05263054, registered office Kings Parade, Lower Coombe Street, Croydon, Surrey, CR0 1AA. For anything to do with your data, email hello@architectyourexit.co.uk or write to us at the address above.
Working out your result. Our scoring method is proprietary, so it runs on our server rather than in your browser. When you answer the questions, your answers are sent to the server, your result is calculated and sent back to you. If you use the optional value section, your sector and profit figure are sent the same way. None of this is stored, and on its own it doesn't identify you.
Protecting the tool from abuse. To stop automated scraping, the server keeps a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address to count how many requests come from the same place. It is used for nothing else and is deleted automatically, usually within minutes and never later than 24 hours.
Saved on your device. So you can close the page and come back, your answers are saved in your own browser's local storage. So is anything you've started typing into the contact form, until you send it. This stays on your device; we can't see it. It remains until you clear it, either with the "Clear my saved answers" link on the scorecard or by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Our legal basis for scoring and abuse prevention is our legitimate interest in providing the tool you asked to use, securely.
The AI Pressure Test works entirely in your web browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us or stored anywhere.
There are two forms: "Leave your details" at the end of the scorecard, and "Request a call" on the booking page.
What we receive: your name, email address and anything you write to us. If you ask via the voice assistant, we also receive your phone number. From the booking form, that includes what you'd like to cover and when suits you. From the scorecard form, it also includes your result and a record of what you saw: your answers, your readiness scores and, if you completed the optional value section, your sector, turnover, profit, target figure, share of ownership and the indicative value ranges shown to you. That way we can have a useful conversation without asking you to repeat everything.
What we do with it: we store it securely in our website database, send it to our inbox, and email you a confirmation (with a summary of your result, if you took the scorecard). We use it to reply to you, arrange the conversation you asked for, and prepare for it. We may follow up on your enquiry. We won't add you to a mailing list.
Legal basis: taking steps you've asked us to take before possibly entering into an engagement with you, and our legitimate interest in responding to and following up enquiries.
It's an AI, not Ian. The voice assistant uses an AI-generated version of Ian Roundell's voice and answers from material Ian has prepared. It gives general information, not advice, and it can get things wrong. A real conversation with Ian is always available.
How it works: the assistant only starts when you choose to talk to it, and your browser will ask for permission to use your microphone. What you say is sent to our provider, ElevenLabs, converted into text, answered by an AI language model and spoken back to you.
What we keep:
What we don't keep: we do not keep a recording of your voice. We don't use your voice to identify you.
Asking Ian to contact you: if you'd like Ian to get in touch, the assistant will ask for your name, email address and phone number, read them back to you to check, and note briefly what you'd like to discuss. These details are sent to our inbox and stored in our website database, and handled exactly like a form enquiry (see above), including the 12-month retention period. The assistant only asks if you want to be contacted — you don't have to give them.
Please don't share health, financial account or other sensitive personal details with the assistant. If you do, they'll be in the transcript until it is deleted at 90 days, or sooner if you ask us.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions from people considering our services and improving those answers. When you book a call, it's taking steps you've asked us to take.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to have the conversation you started. We won't add you to a mailing list, and we won't share or sell your details.
This page covers people who use the website or contact us. If you've received a letter from us introducing our services, a separate and more detailed notice applies, because your details reached us a different way: from the public Companies House register, not from anything you gave us. Read it at architectyourexit.co.uk/privacy-outbound.html. It explains where your information came from, what we did with it, how long we keep it and, most importantly, how to tell us to stop. We always act on that.
| What | Purpose | How long | Why no consent is needed |
|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm (Cloudflare) | Security: tells real visitors from bots | 30 minutes | Strictly necessary for security |
| Scorecard saved answers (local storage) | Lets you pick up where you left off | Until you clear it | Needed for the feature you're using |
The site's typefaces load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your device's IP address when the fonts are delivered. The voice assistant's software only loads from ElevenLabs when you choose to start a conversation.
We don't use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies. If that ever changes, we'll ask for your consent first.
We use a small number of service providers. They act only on our instructions and under contracts that protect your data.
| Provider | What they do |
|---|---|
| Lovable | Hosts the website, the enquiry database and the scoring engine; sends form emails |
| Cloudflare | Security and content delivery for the website |
| ElevenLabs | Runs the voice assistant, including the AI language model it uses to answer |
| Delivers the website's typefaces | |
| Our business email provider | Hosts the hello@architectyourexit.co.uk mailbox |
We may also share information with our professional advisers, or where the law requires it. We never sell your data.
Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, the European Union or the United States. Where your data leaves the UK, it is protected by UK adequacy regulations (which cover the EU and US organisations certified under the UK extension to the Data Privacy Framework) or by the UK's approved contract clauses. Ask us if you'd like more detail.
| Information | Kept for |

| Voice-assistant transcripts | 90 days |
| Voice recordings | Not kept |
| Client files | 6 years after our engagement ends |
| Saved answers on your device | Until you clear them |
If you ask us not to contact you again, we keep a minimal note of that request so we can respect it.
The scorecard produces an indicative score from your own answers. It's for your information. We don't make any decision about you based on it, and nothing on this site makes automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
